Cannady (b. 1806) and Nancy (b 1807) (Christy) Clubb. They both died in 1851. Three of their children are buried here as well. Infant twins died in 1851 also. Nancy was a daughter of Andrew and Elisabeth. Christy cemetery, Sumner, IL. Submitted by Laurel Treat.

Margaret (Lanterman) Christy. Died 1842, aged 25 years. Stone has fallen off base and is under brush. Two children on this stone as well, Margaret's sons Charles, died 1842, and Samuel, died 1836. Margaret was the first wife of William Y. Christy, son of Andrew. William became a weathy and influential citizen in the area. Christy township was named for him. Christy cemetery, Sumner, IL. This is the footstone of either Maria (Bentley) Christy, the 3rd wife of William Y. Christy, or their young daughter Maria. Both of these people as well as William Y. are supposed to be buried in this cemetery. There are several large tombstones that have fallen over in there that we couldn't read. Joseph R. Christy, 1802 - 1842. This partially buried stone belongs to a son of Andrew and Elisabeth Christy. Other sons include James, who stayed in Ohio, Andrew who made his fortune in St. Louis, Samuel who married into a prominent family in Cahokia and became a prominent citizen in his own right, and John who married into the Dennison family.
